Our model
Refill-first, across the board.
We invented the candle refill — a simple idea that lets you keep your jar and replace just the wax. And we're not stopping there: our goal is to bring the refill model to every product category in your home.
The problem
Recycling alone can't save us.
- We produce over 380 million metric tons of plastic each year. But less than 10% of all plastic ever produced has been correctly recycled.
- Most plastic waste — even plastic we recycle — ends up in landfills, oceans, or the incinerator (releasing toxins and ash into the air we breathe).
Where we stand
Transparency > Perfection.
We hate plastic as much as you do. But right now, a plastic-free pouch that keeps liquid soap shelf-stable doesn't exist, and alternatives like glass are too resource-intensive to be sustainable. So we did the next best thing: we offset it.
We're working toward better alternatives, but we won't let “perfect” get in the way of “good” right now.
What we fund
Boots on the ground in Hyderabad.
We don't just buy credits; we fund work. In partnership with rePurpose Global, we sponsor a team in Hyderabad, India, to collect “forgotten plastic” — candy wrappers and chip bags that usually end up in the ocean because they have no resale value.
We provide fair wages to workers to clean up what others ignore.
